    You know that CSP is standing up for your rights. Whether it is with the Dental Board of California (DBC), the Legislature, the CDA, CalOSHA, or EPA, CSP represents member interests:
  5. CSP actively monitors DBC meeting to assure your “voice” is heard and your rights are protected.
  6. An active goal of CSP is to develop representation of periodontal interests on DBC.
  7. Several CSP members serve on various CDA leadership groups. Furthermore, CSP encourages its members to participate in CDA leadership so more can represent periodontal interests.
  8. We have represented California periodontal interests with both the CDA and other regulatory agencies (CalOHSA & EPA) to assure practice regulations are reasonable.

    CSP is working with DBC and CalAMOS to have CS site examination be performed by practicing periodontists.

  11. CSP worked with CDA and CalAMOS to provide its membership with the latest information about the allograft recall incident.

    CSP is your main advocate for California periodontists to be the “gate keepers” for periodontal care.
  12. CSP has testified before accreditation commissions and DBC on issues such as dental licensing process, scope of practice issues, appropriate use for the dental laser in periodontal procedures, and efficacy of periodontal therapy.
