Moving Together – A Perio-Ortho Collaboration
CSP 2018 Annual Meeting in Yosemite
May 18 – 20, 2018
With a great deal of excitement, I would like to extend an invitation to join us for a thought provoking look addressing the interplay between Periodontics and Orthodontics. We will be having our Annual Meeting from Friday May 18th thru Sunday May 20th, 2018 at the Tenaya Lodge which is just outside Yosemite National Park.
As a complement to our last few years of collaborative meetings this year we are looking at the ways we can enhance our ability to offer treatment to improve the outcomes of patients with orthodontic needs.
We are fortunate to have Dr. George Mandelaris kick off the program on Saturday morning. He will be sharing with us about Surgically Facilitated Orthodontic Therapy and how this new frontier can result in enhanced outcomes. As a follow-up on Saturday afternoon, Dr. Brad McAllister’s presentation will review Pre-and Post-Orthodontic treatment strategies.
On Sunday morning, we are pleased to be able to have Dr. David Forbes discuss the “Grey Zone”. There are patients that fall between the dentoalveolar and skeletal parameters of treatment. His topic will focus on the periodontal treatment which will benefit those patients in the “Grey Zone”. To complete our meeting, we will be treated to a program by Or. Serge Dibart regarding a unique approach to surgically enhanced orthodontic therapy utilizing Piezocision
On Friday, we have a day dedicated to Anesthesia and Medical emergencies. Or. Michael Mashni and Dr. Larry Trapp will deliver the presentations which will help fulfill the California CE requirement for Conscious Sedation Permits.
We look forward to seeing many of you there to further our professional growth and to take advantage of a fantastic venue for appreciating nature at its finest.
