Advocacy and a Voice – Non-members are indirect beneficiaries to many of the CSP’s activities. Unfortunately, the non-member voice is silent. The CSP is a vocal advocate to CalOSHA, the CDA, the EPA, the CA Dental Board and other agencies and small interest groups that impact our businesses and ability to deliver the best care to our patients. Join CSP and make your voice heard and help us make CSP’s voice even louder! CSP celebrates recent success in negotiating with Delta Dental of California to indefinitely postpone a planned fee reimbursement reduction that was planned to go into effect on 7/1/21.
Listing on the Oral Health Expert™ Website – The CSP newly designed consumer oriented website will help get patients to your office. Members are provided an opportunity to list their practice information, web address and other details at no additional cost. The interconnectivity between the member websites and the CSP site will enhance organic SEO and will improve your office website ranking. The CSP consumer site promotes the CSP member periodontist as the expert in oral health care, periodontics and implant dentistry.
Reduced Rates to the CSP Annual Meeting – CSP members enjoy a reduced fee to the CSP annual meeting which is most often in Spring at a luxurious resort. The education program is exceptional and includes nationally and internationally recognized speakers. CSP members also received reduced rates to attend sedation review courses specifically designed for periodontists.
The Periodontal Advocate – The CSP newsletter is published quarterly and reports on State legislation, dental board actions and other pressing issues that can affect your practice and patients. The newsletter also provides information on regional meetings and educational offerings.
Access to the CSP Hygiene Collaborative & Wellness Seminars – Only members can attend the CSP hygiene collaborative. These meetings educate hygienists and promote the periodontist as the leader of the periodontal team. The fee to attend is extremely reasonable. These meetings give CSP members the opportunity to meet local hygienists along with their employer dentists and are designed to promote the team approach concept to patient care. CSP is launching a new wellness program starting in 2021.
Access to the CSP Member Website – The CSP’s member website provides timely information on the issues that affect your practice and patients. Here you will also find resources to help your practice, including patient consent forms, AAP position papers and other important information. The site also provides information on the CSP annual meeting, the hygiene collaborative, and the regional meetings to elevate your education and keep you informed.
Camaraderie and Networking – Interested in finding out how other periodontists are dealing with the same problems you are in practice? Need any help attracting new patients to your office? Do you have aspirations to become politically involved with your local dental society, the CDA, AAP, or ADA? Do you have an interest in teaching? If you answered yes to one or more of these questions you should join CSP. We are all dealing with the same problems in practice. Having relationships with other periodontists in the State is useful to help solve our similar problems. Knowing other periodontists across the state is useful if one of your patients moves out of town, and vice versa. We can’t wait to meet you and introduce you to your peers and colleagues. The life-long relationships made by our members are simply priceless.
If you are already a member please explain the benefits of joining CSP to all your non-member friends. Membership Brochure
